“Toward” vs. “Towards”

24 Dec

So technically it doesn’t matter which term you use.

“He went toward the river…”

“He went towards the river…”

But I’m a rational person, and I need more order than that. So I was in bed thinking about my days in Spanish class, and how their words would change based on “Masculine” or “Feminine.” What if we changed “toward/towards” based on plural or non…

“The five oranges rolled towards the bank…” there are many oranges, to then “towards” suggests many…

“The orange rolled toward the bank…”

See how nice that sounds, oh I love a nice organized package… don’t you??
